The Old Folks Home

I'm that way with the HyVee grocery store that has 'isles on line'. You simply buy groceries on their website, set up a day and time to pick them up and turn up when and where you are supposed to, call them on the phone and voila! somebody comes out with your groceries and loads them in the car for you.

I got to talk to one of the 'guest shoppers' one day. Sweet young thing who said she really liked doing the shopping for others. I told her that I was immunosuppressed thanks to medicine I am taking and how much I appreciated their service.

with the baby boomers greying now, I'm glad that somebody is thinking of a way to make life easier.

But It's funny. The service is free if you spend 30 dollars.....DH asked me if I had made the minimum. I showed him my subtotal....160 dollars....It's just so easy to do.

But my pantry and freezer are full. Canceled one doctors appointment, going to cancel the other and re-appoint both of them.....AFTER flu season is over. Till then...ain't leavin' the gravel road (which my husband tells me is an ice skating rink) can't make me!

My DH does a lot of my shopping on his way home. So convenient and I really do appreciate it. But, he just takes whatever fruit or veggie is on top. He doesn't look at them to make sure they are ripe, not too ripe, not bruised, etc.

So, when the shoppers shop for you, do they shop like my husband?

I wonder about that too!

Your caption is cute. "The chicken will always remember the egg." Is that the egg they came out of, or the egg they laid? :)
It could be either one!

The CBC part of my blood test is already in. Everything is fine on it. Not sure when I will get the results about vitamin D levels. The results are not in for the liver panel yet, either. In addition to the normal CBC, and liver panel, 2 additional tests were ordered. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's just low vitamin D.

The CBC tells you a lot! That's good news!
