Good morning, Folks.

I've been looking at German Shepherds for awhile now. They're just sooooo expensive in my area.

With Shepherds cheaper is not always better. View health records and observe the parents for temperament evaluation. They can be either your greatest gift or a nightmare waiting to happen depending upon their genetics. I've been owned by more dogs that most can imagine, but by far the most impressive was a German Shepherd named Rohn. He died nearly 50 years ago, and I still think of him. His loss hurt so bad that I vowed to never have another.

Just FYI: It looks like Xerox is acquiring HP. Or, at least, that's what I'm gleaning from the proposed stock exchange prospectus I got yesterday.

Copy that on the benefits of Covid-19... Have you seen the recent photos of the Venice Canals? Clear, clear water that you can actually see the floor bottom now with dolphins returning to frolic therein. I imagine China's air is breathable again, too.

There are German Shepherd rescue groups out there, too, if you don't want to pay breeder prices. Of course, you might end up having to re-educate somebody's training mistake.

Sorry you lost him Sour. Our dog Mini is a wonderful GSD. Gets along great with all of our animals and even the grandkids. So smart, it's scary. Like she knows that when hubby turns the tv volume down, he's getting ready for bed if it's 11 pm. She really pays attention to what we do.
But with dogs, expensive may not be better. Look at these designer mutts that you find in the pet store! Just absurd. Yes, buyer needs to know what to look for.

Sorry you lost him Sour. Our dog Mini is a wonderful GSD. Gets along great with all of our animals and even the grandkids. So smart, it's scary.

This dog would take one look at me and immediately assess where my mood was. If it was happy times he would figure 8 around me bumping, barking and flagging his tail. If I was in a bad place he would walk alongside me with his head against my leg. I loved him as much as the people who matter to me. One instance of his intelligence. I was working in the cellar with the Bilco doors open. 2 year old son was playing in the backyard - yep we free ranged our kids with monitoring. I heard a bark and then a slight cry from son. Sixty seconds later a repeat. Rhon was laying against the cellar opening. As son would approach the cellar he would stand up blocking son from coming down the cellar steps. I never worried about my family while I was away. He was there to protect them.

Just got back from the Amish market - replenished bread, vegetables and OJ. People are scared! I've spent a lifetime reading people, and see fear and stress in the faces of most people who were there. 'Social distancing' and glancing at one another with suspicion - thinking "Is that one a carrier?" Common sense and apply the same husbandry practices you would to your flocks and herds.

Positive case in our county on Monday, 5 more yesterday - todays figures not yet posted.

Good morning all.

Another rainy day here. I was going to start butchering roosters today but they get a reprieve due to the rain. It's supposed to be in the 70s though...drats! Then 39 for a high tomorrow. Maybe by Saturday or Sunday I can start the process.

I'm planning on skinning and doing the no gutting technique as my freezer is like...no room at the inn...or camp.

Went to the Amish market for vegetables, OJ, and fresh bread. People are scared. I'm a people watcher, and I read fear/near panic in most faces. People were social distancing, standing stiffly, and glancing suspiciously at one another. The virus is a scary thing, but stress kills by lowering our immune system among other things. I was thinking, 'like, lighten up folks'. Standing in line to check out my vegetables, lady in front of me turned around and said, "You are smiling." I replied, "Yep, my father said I should always smile that way people wouldn't ever know what I was really thinking." She said, "I'm going to be safe, but sure ain't going to quit living." Amen, sister. Princess and I will be going for a walk in the park for her outing and then I will go to the club. We have a multiple of community parks that are sparsely used. No problem 'social distancing'. Stay sensible, stay safe Old Folks, and keep on enjoying yourselves.

Morning! Snow with at least 8 inches on the ground and counting. No one will be messing with anything up here in this, LOL!

I looked at Xerox. The two I considered, were not in stock. I think I'm going to be happy with the one I've got. It seems to wake up as soon as I touch the screen, OR send something to print. I even let several hours pass, and it woke up, and did it's job just fine.

Brother makes good printers!
