Yep, @bruce2000,it was the perfect 'white trash' situation with the pony. People around us, including people who weren't white trash were getting ponies and had no idea what it took to keep a horse corralled in a secure enclosure. And they all came down to visit my girls. It's like, c'mon people, you cannot stake a pony out in your front yard, use clothes line to tie him down and expect him to stay where you tie him!

Just came in from hauling 3 bucket loads of wood from a tree we fell earlier this year. It landed in the pond so it wasn't all that pleasant to work with as it was covered with pond muck.

Fortunately only a lot of the smaller branches were submerged. It had landed in a shallow end of the pond so the main trunk was out of the water.

DH had bought new chains for the saw and they are going through the wood like a hot knife through butter. It sure makes cutting wood, especially big trunks a lot easier for him.

Yeah, Penny, the stink was pretty impressive.

anaerobic digestion of organic materials makes a very bad smell! Growing up the Dairy at the end of the road had a manure settling pond....Oh My!

I went to a circus once in my very young life. People had told me that they shoot a clown out of a cannon. With that in mind, I worried so much, I didn't enjoy or remember anything about the circus. Despite that - they DID NOT SHOOT A CLOWN OUT OF A CANNON. Just another time I worried half to death over nothing. My mother taught me well.
