The Old Folks Home

@drumstick diva
I don’t wear one in the car when driving or at the drive up bank. I would wear one going into the bank.
I work several hours a week with a single co-worker. There is no customer contact and we have individual offices. We don’t wear masks inside but I wear one after parking in case I meet someone before getting into the office.
I have a “no sew“ bandana mask, one my daughter made and a couple from a neighbor that was making them for donations. All fit a little different but they work. All can have a coffee filter added if needed.

DH said the same thing yesterday after picking up our wire at Menards. He had to go in....wearing a mask. He said all the employees were wearing masks.

I had told them once that I couldn't breathe in masks. Haven't been able to in years. I didn't know if it was because I'm mildly claustrophobic or because I have such poor sinuses and bad allergies. Made working as a scrub nurse a real joy.

When he got home he said he understood what I was talking about now because after 2 minutes he couldn't breathe either.

I can wear them if I have to and have recently due to my medications but man oh man am I glad to get outside and away from people so I can rip them off. Sure makes home the only place to be.
I am the same way Once the air gets hot and moist I wanna just rip it off.

The mask I used for Rat cleanup is a 3m P100. The kind with a soft plastic mask and two Filters one on either side. Surpisingly that one I can breathe in.... Doesnt get hot or stuffy.

I have asthma that is triggered by allergies. So My Air intake has always been a sore point for me. I can be 100 percent oxygen and yet if there is no movement in the air I get claustrophobia.

Deb, that's the mask I use for several coop chores. They're easy to breathe in, and do a much better job than the disposable masks. BTW, if you use the "loop over the ears" type mask, the WHITE side goes out, if you are well. The colored side goes out if you are sick. The white material they're made of, is HEPA material, and provides protection to the wearer. The colored side is not HEPA material, and provides protection to others. I get so tired of seeing people wearing their masks backwards, and don't even know it.

Thank you so much!

? Is there any evidence for that, or is it just paranoia? :idunno
I have no idea haha but it does live on a lot of surfaces for a few days so :confused: a lot of places here aren’t accepting returns anymore either. The bag thing is policy here too but not sure if a law or just individual store policy.
