Morning old folks aliive here realy to kill a peep driving me nuts
it hatched needs a friend gave it a stuffed cow small one but hey ..
Left knee good had acl rebuilt did great job arthritis in both but seem to hold me up ..
Ate a couple pancakes for breakfast make mine dollar size

California has been hit hard ... second to New York. Couple of high density cities contribute to it.

That's it, high density city's NYC the worst, worst than anywhere, bad mistakes made there.
Rest of the state though, hardly existent, and we have tons of city residents coming upstate. Most of us still know no one that has had it, or died from it. No one any of us knows has a story to tell. And I deal with truck drivers all over the state and other states, nobody.
Stay safe though perchie, stay away from people, best thing to do IMHO, masks and gloves...no protection IMHO, I've told my dad, haven't seen him just sent messages best thing he can do is stay up on the mountain and cut bluestone, stay away from people. He has been. He has Silicosis, and this being a lung eating virus he would not have a chance, he is more physically fit than I or anyone at 66 now, hardest worker I've ever met. Stay away from people. Masks, six foot distancing, joke IMHO, stay completely away from people if you are someone that has a good../bad.. chance of dying from this. Of course I'm not a expert but listen to them, been wrong many times now, still saying asinine projections IMHO.
Keep saying second wave coming this fall, they have no clue, could die out like all the others they don't know. Remind me of the weatherman. We'll know when we get there.

I do agree... We mask to leave home and will keep doing it till there really is a vaccine ...

Excellent post, Beer. Missouri went to 'partially open', whatever that means. People we know are going out to eat like everything is normal. They think that just because the waiters are wearing masks and everyone is 6 feet apart, they are safe. We aren't falling for it. Doctor told me that until there is a working vaccine the safest place to be is home and that is where we are staying.

No restaurant, no shopping center, no grocery store or social gathering is worth my life or the life of my husband.

This will pass....eventually, but I doubt if anything will ever be the same again. IMHO this is worse than 911. What happened in 911 affected NYC, the pentagon and the brave souls who went down with the third plane in I believe PA, killing thousands of innocent people then was over. This is affecting everyone in the world and isn't over yet....

The only thing that has changed for me is that I now carry hand sanitizer in my truck. Anytime I go to a public place, I use some on my hands and phone before and after. Of course, I haven't had a flu shot, nor the flu since 2006 and I am generally healthy.

9-11 affected much more than just those killed in the initial attack. That day led to the longest combat operation in this Nation's history. The first truly multi-generational war.

The covid-19 pandemic will change us more than we know. The 1918 flu, polio pandemic and the 1957 flu did too.

Not only our attitudes but those that survived and will now live with permanently scarred lungs and likely other damage that is just being discovered

A former neighbor has withered legs from the 1950s polio pandemic. I remember my Father talking about how terrible it was too.
