Notice was given by rioters that they were going after homes, and people tonight, instead of businesses. That's why the curfew was put in place on the city. The county is not on lockdown. Some are upset that the curfew didn't extend to the county. I guess the officials figured if the looters come after us country folk, they're in for a rude awakening, and deserve what they get.

Thanks @getaclue. I'm pleased with it. I just hope Loki's parents like it. They have 5 Frenchies. Their home is more chaotic than ours is with 5 cattle dogs. Some of the stories about their bull dog brawls are pretty shocking.

That carp wouldn't play around here either. Everybody, even the Amish has a rifle of some sort sitting by one door and a shotty by the other. Somebody comes looking for trouble, they are going to find it.

What makes me sad about all of this is that for every bad cop, there are 100 good cops trying to do their job and do it the best they can. It's that one bad apple though.....and suddenly all cops are under the magnifying glass. But then it's like that with every profession.

but what of the others if a cop kneels not healthy for cops I can't blame them but awful tired of the bull gang bangers breaking into the mall while legitimate ones are protesting give all of them bad names

Out in Palos Park (in Ill,) my niece said the shopping center was shut down and the road leading to it because of trouble makers.

When we went to our strip mall, Target & Walmart were closed with police presence and police cars that said "emergency management. Kohls had one policeman inside by the entrance door.

We decided to go to Target in a different location. Business as usual no problems.

Couple observations I've had, they say the people creating chaos are not locals..Then where are all the looters taking all the crap they are stealing??? Also, these areas of chaos are known for their gang bangers, already known for crime,... where are 'they'... The gangs?? No shootings?
Makes me think these rioters are usually everyday people...makes it hard to understand.

These are people who stood out in the pouring rain on Saturday to make their point, and they did it peacefully.

Here the outsiders caused most of the damage... hundreds of video captures showed them arriving as a group then disbursing amongst the protesters.

One Bright moment out of all this... the day after the riot People from the community OVER a thousand showed up with brooms shovels and tools to help clean up the mess.

I got all choked up when I heard this.

My murmur did a weird thing. It was a grade 2 at worse, then suddenly the doctor told me that he was only hearing it on occasion, now they tell me that they can't hear it. Seems as though as you age, the axis of your heart changes and when it does, if you have a mitral valve regurg, it can make it either better or go away.

I still know it's there tho, just waiting.......Cardiologist told me the worst that could happen is that I'd need it replaced when I was older and that would be a duck soup procedure.

Well, I'm old and still working with original parts...with the exception of the old gall bladder and appendix that is.

90 percent of my stomach... gone
ACL Ligament repaired

I have 3 + 6 + 6 + 2 = 17 Laparoscopic incision sites.

As soon as I loose the last 100 pounds and stabilize there will be one more repair for the hernia caused by my abdominal surgeries. I am hoping they can do this at the same time as they remove the excess skin below my belly button.

The physical therapy will allow me to finish the weight loss. Standing walking and moving is my goal for that. Then I will be able to get my goats and take them for hikes. My last four were a hoot and kept me from focusing on myself.
