Happy birthday @perchie.girl

that would explain it! And your roos keep fertility through the winter too? The old handbook authors seem to have been very concerned about that.
Fertility is only an issue if it gets really cold,or really hot.

I think fertility doesn't tend to drop until maybe 10F??????

I hope you have a great day!

Thanks, @ronott1. Yes, it's a crap shoot some times. But yes, I wound up with 7 beautiful little chicks and two good moms taking care of them, well three if you count the fact that I incubated the eggs for a week in my Brinsea.

Last egg started to smell. Pretty much a deal breaker when they start to do that and not a doubt in your head sort of thing. Broke it when I buried it, no doubt is right. Embryo died about day 17-18.

Got Cookie and the three bantams moved to their grow out pen. It finally stopped raining here. We got 3 inches or more of rain in less than 12 hours. We are pretty much soggy here but the cattle dogs have a full swimming hole to play in and have been going at it all morning.

My 2 alpacas were wading in the pond today. Not sure why since it was only about 60°.

Not today, to the floor then nothing..pumped pumped come on please don't mow it over... blew a brakeline
 I guess it is good that they lasted JUST long enough to save the fawn. Could have been a lot worse if it were a tree, boulder or another vehicle and the brakes went 2 seconds earlier.
