Hey guys!

I was doing clean up today in the new coop (finally done! Happy Dance time!) and remembered that Chickadoodles gave me a contact address to use for her after she had her surgery. I looked back on my conversations and yep, found it. I plan to drop her daughter a card on Monday for Chicka along with a note for her daughter. So if anybody wants to join in, PM me and I will pass on the address.

As stated, I got the new coop done today, cleaned, new bedding down, Screech and her two little delinquents moved in. Tomorrow if the weather is nicer, I'll take pics and get the three 5 week olds that are still in the brooder moved out and Screech moved back in with the flock. Her's are 8 weeks old now and I think more of a habit with her than a broody drive.

So that finishes off the big fall projects. YAY! Not a moment too soon. I'm beat.

I did find my one and only rat snap trap and baited it up with bacon wired to the holder. This bugger better eat that bacon and get caught because my husband whimpered when he saw me wire that slice of hog belly to that trap!

Bacon is sacred.

Had a super day today. Lots of fresh air and sunshine, socializing with friends, sold all but one mature chicken. Emptied out another coop. Did some shopping and drove back home.
Plus I missed hitting a herd of at least 4 deer.
Chicks are all moved outside until the next ones hatch.
