When we bought our new appliances, Dh paid for an extended warranty on our dishwasher. I called the warranty people today, and a repair person will be here on the 23rd. We shall see whether the extended warranty was worth the price.

The dishwasher is washing, and rinsing fine on the Normal setting, but the element is not heating the water for the Sanitize, and Extra Dry settings. I get an E09 error message when I select those settings. At least I can still use it.

Al, you are right. The heated water, is what helps get the dishes dry. There is no heating coil to dry the dishes.
