The Old Folks Home

I see you lurking there!

Okay, lets start a discussion. I have 45 or so chickens and three guineas. I want everything else I see, goats, geese, llamas, donkeys. I am conflicted between my love of my animals and the concessions my family has to make for me to have them. There is the time I must devote to them, the money I spend that could be put elsewhere and the emotional attachment I develope. Is there anyone else who worries that they are not being fair to the rest of the clan?

Yes. And for my second job I worry bc no one else in the family gives my animals the same care, although they are safe and fed.

Took down the tree and packed all the decorations away till next year. Currently 51 degrees here so very unwinter-like.

Amazing how it takes me three days to get everything out and decorated and an hour and a half to get it torn down and put away. Still haven't figured that one out.

This afternoon we will be trying to figure out a way to get our 2 meter antenna back up. We use a 50 foot Army Surplus Radio Mast for that antenna and the 45 mph plus wind gusts we had last week took it down big time and bent 3 or four of the mast sections in spite of being guy wired down. Got to love the weather around here.
Antenna work! Brings back memories from my childhood...

Fond memories is pushing it a bit from my POV, Ron.:rant

It's like breeding elephants. Lots of pushing and shoving, lots of roaring and trumpeting and you don't see any results for 12 months....if you are lucky.

Good morning all and belated happy birthday to @oldhen2345! Sorry I missed your big day yesterday. I was exhausted and spent the day on the sofa sleeping and watching old movies on Prime. Slept 10 hours last night and woke up with new energy so I'm on the move!
Thanks, Me too- geared up old movies that I love that you rarely see anymore on tv. I saw We're no angels with Humphrey Bogart (sweet movie, brings tears), All Mine to Give (serious tear jerker based on true story) and Journey for Margaret (not Christmas, but a favorite). Finished a book series and slept A LOT- ate a lot too.

Exactly! Dad had MS so he sent us up onto the roof to put up the mast and antenna. It was terrifying LOL!
