My wish for all is that the upcoming 2021 is far kinder to us than last year.

It sounds like storm cleanup will be brutal!Happy New Year everyone. We are sitting here waiting for the second winter storm of the week to hit. Snow, ice, more snow. I don't mind the snow so much but the ice hurls chunks. Can't walk without ice cleats on. Dogs are sliding around. Nets over the run are ruined. Grrrrrrr.
Take care! Dream of spring while sipping your hot drink, this to shall pass! I can take winter time one day at a time but not if I think how many weeks of snow we could possibly get before spring!! I have a love/hate relationship with snow and ice!Morning Sour, Ron and all the happy campers here at the home.
And another tiding of Happy New Years to all. Finally the holidays are over and we can get back to the nonsense called survival 2021.
I woke up to freezing rain hitting the bedroom windows. They are calling for it to transition over to snow at some point. I was able to get the damaged nets that were down loose from the ice and stuffed in my metal framed chicken tractor before round two hit. That left half of the run still covered. Not sure if the deer netting over the second half will survive today but once I can get through this weather and get a warming trend I can access remove and replace.
We get a lot of ice here and I've found that the string woven nets hold up a lot better than the Deer X deer fencing although the Deer X brand holds up the best of any I've tried.
Coffee makes you forget what is going on outside...as long as you don't look out the windows that is![]()
