And it's a balmy 28 degrees here. We're supposed to get 2-4" of snow tonight, which will be a lot for this winter, so far. Glad I don't have to drive in it anymore! There are benefits to being an OF, right?

Currently 70 degrees out, and will go up to 82 later in the afternoon.

we had snow yesterday at dusk - first of the winter here - and it's still lying around in the shadows. It's forecast to be washed away by more rain tonight though.

We are forecast to have lows in the mid twenties tomorrow and then an atmospheric river.

A mere 29 here. Graupel on the ground this morning, so cold enough temps last night. My knees told me whatever had moved through was coming. Lack of mobility turned Sunday truly into a day of rest.

Hi. Yes, chickens - all animals are a responsiblity!
I enjoy caring for mine but I am a homebody
I have a question for you since you said how much you feed. My chickens are ALWAYS hungry and I feed them later crumbles and kitchen scraps but I am wondering am I feeding them enough.i have five chickens in one cage and I feed them about three cups a day of crumbles.
Should I feed more?

Sour, if you don't mind telling it - does Medicare pay for the covid shot? Do you have to come back for a second one.?

My pharmacist first said they would have the shot in January. NOW he sez April. I guess my end of the planet hopes the oldies will die off first. NO! the new season of "Stranger Things," doesn't air till Valentine's Day.

Yes, you need a booster. Try the health department if the pharmacy has none.

Still working on this coop I started when the kids were here in the fall. I swear it's the crookedest one I made. At least the chickens won't care.

Yesterday I hung the door and made some other adjustments. Hopefully I will finish soon.
