The Old Folks Home

CS, there is a possibility that the epsom salts, and antibiotics will take care of the problem, if you caught it in time. It's a wait-and-see situation.
Well at first I thought it was a sprain, still could be, but her left foot is warmer than the right and swollen. I brought her in at the first sign of injury. Just now noticing the squishy pads.. I check when I brought her in. She's been gobbling up her scrambled eggs with echinacea on them, and this morning got supplemented with colloidal silver on some bread pieces.. She's drinking like a mad woman now.. first two days she barely touched the water. And she seems more alert.

How long until June!?! (When I get my chicks.) I keep counting on my fingers, and it's STILL three months away!
Same here but June will be here soon enough, without all the stuff that needs to be done getting done.

Nope much larger flock only one photo posted first time
Nice looking flock Penny

when it's rainy there and 65 degrees you all think that's cold.

Here, we call that spring and put away our winter coats!
And then get them back out in a few days because we were FOOLED again!

12°F this morning, high "presumably" 29° but given it is only 19° at 2 PM I'm not buying that story. Supposed to be 50°F for a high the next few days ... and SUNNY, making plenty of power.

Meteorologist Definition. Person who can be wrong 50% of the time and still get paid.

Our forecast is calling for warmer temps but drier weather. Then they say 61 degrees on Tuesday with 80% chance of rain. We are so flooded right now and everything is so soggy. I hope they are wrong but doubt if they are. I just find it so funny that they can't even seem to hit it close to the mark any more.

Same temps forcasted for here, but not much chance of rain... I'm glad since we got so much over the winter.

On another note... Henrietta is much more animated since I gave her the colloidal silver, and the red patchy skin is now evenly toned (yellowish). She must have had a good infection going on, and colloidal silver is great for that. Her foot is cooling down as well. Things must be on the mend.

It rained yesterday. Today has been 71, a gentle breeze, and sunny out. It's a BEAUTIFUL day. The Dd, and the grands spent the day at Dinosaur World. It's a fun place. In the meantime, I swept the house, cleaned the kitchen really good, including emptying leftovers and gosh-knows-what from the fridge. I cleaned the duck house out, putting all fresh hay. After that, I cooked supper. Pork roast, mac & cheese, peas, and corn. Now, I'm going to kick back, and relax some.
