The Old Folks Home

I like many of the new safety features but he's right, the more stuff there is the more things to go wrong.
My new truck has a sun roof. The switch quit working one day with the back tilted up and not able to afford a mechanic it stayed that way. The rain then killed the motor another $150 part. It also has a rear cam with an alarm that beebs like crazy every time I have the camper hitch in. It is good for hooking up the trailer though. Some people still don't know how to guide you back.
When I bought it I showed up in a 96' long wheel base standard dually. After the test drive I backed the new truck up using the "mirrors" oh what a thought. The sales rep said oh you had to try the camera out. I said I never looked at it I actually know how to drive and use mirrors.

Backing up a trailer is a pain in the patooty. I used to be able to back up my horse trailer but 30 years after that found myself having to back up our big trailer that we used for moving. Talk about nail biting.

The gold finches are wearing their spring colors and the robins are back in force. the only thing I haven't seen or heard are the red wing black birds and they should be arriving any time. They are usually here before the robins but not this year for some reason.

@CSolis I have my eye set on a new battery powered weed eater. Lawn mower is old but still running. The way the grass is growing we will probably be mowing within the next week.

I bought a gas powered Cub Cadet weed eater with pole saw attachment a few years back.. When the black and decker battery powered weed eater bit the dust, the CC was a life saver, but the Remington is actually more of a mower than a weed eater but operates on the same principal. My Toro built lawn mower decided to give up the ghost as the front axle came loose and I have no way to reattach it. I'm thinking and working on a solution where I can put a new axle on that stays at the height I want, but it's 8 years old or better, so I thought the new one with bigger back wheels would be easier to push.
