The Old Folks Home

They put in our new pool/spa lighting today. I was taking a nap while they put it in. When I awoke, I wanted to try it out. To go to the different settings (it does various colors, and patterns), one must flip the on/off switch a certain number of times. There is a chart with a key to the different settings, and the number of times the switch is to be flipped for the desired effect. Our pool light switch was already one of the wall switches, by the slider going out to the patio.

As I began flipping the switch, it didn't want to work right. Dh had the audacity to ask if I was flipping the switch right. Really? It's a light switch. Of course, he had to come to show me how it's done. It didn't work right for him either. Hahaha. It seems the wall switch needed replacing. We have several new ones in the garage, since we've already had to replace a few of them. Now everything is working just fine. I have to say, I really do like it.
It is funny when that happens!

It is good to have spare parts.

Your strength is admirable. :bow:lau
I soooooo wanted some of those Saphire Gems!!
Just finished putting another row of chicken wire up the divider between the two sides of the big pen. Hopefully it keeps Bruce the Magnificent on his own side and not roosting on the roof of the hen house on the other side. He loves being high up, regardless of the weather. Then I stuck my Beilefelder and Graystoke (her big guy) in the other side that was empty, and put my two 'EEs' in there. I suspect Graystoke is an EE himself since he really doesn't match up with the colors he should have. I got 5 EEs and 2 Beilefelders from the same guy at the same time.. All of the boys left except Graystoke since he is another super nice roo. I've got 6 of Lady's eggs (the Beilefelder) to stick in the incubator to see just what I get. Funny as it is, she's the next to smallest hen I have and lays the biggest roundest eggs of the bunch. Here's Graystoke and Lady.

Something was able to reach inside and plucked a bunch of feathers but the guilty party was gone.
Likely a coon. They can reach through something as small as poultry wire. Foxes can go through holes 5" and larger.

Yup, April fools! I drove to work yesterday in three inches of snow. 26* here this morn.
Around here, which isn't much different than your area, a weather April Fool's joke would be 80°F, nothing to do with cold or snow.
