I've got two ahem.. ameracanas, that I thought for sure were going to turn out to be cockerels, but at 10 weeks I'm not seeing it! Still no pointy feathers in the saddle area, nor on the neck. I bit early yet for cycle feathers, but.. would just be my luck if they were both pullets. I'm hoping I'm wrong about that.

That is not a breed that is sexable until they are adults.

You can tell by the wattles at that age though. Can you post a picture or two?

First up to bat is 'Smokey'. Neither one wanted to participate in this little venture, so I had to just sit and wait. I am soooooooo hoping for cockerels to go with all my dark brown egg layers. Wattles? What wattles?

Next up is Bandit... He was worse than Smokey when it came to 'posing'. NTM, the little Calico Princesses that attacked my feet when I entered to coop... Mommy's hereeeeee, YAYYYYYYY!

The one thing they definitely have are BEARDS!!

Ohhhhhhhh, all those liddle olive eggers I gonna be making, well.. they gonna be making with all the little dark brown egg laying chickie poos I have.
