The Old Folks Home

We had a Doppler radar red cell parked over our house for a bit yesterday. I sat protected by the covered patio and watched as dime-sized hail bounced high off the lawn. Thought the yard might get shredded, but happily not. Only one sunflower seemed affected and sideways after the onslaught; everything else is business as usual this morning, except I don't have to go out and water. :)
We were lucky as there was lots of flooding and golf ball size hail elsewhere. Didn't hear of any nearby tornadoes this time around. (Tornadoes in NM, though, seem to be just glorified dust devils in magnitude and very rarely cause significant damage.)

Getting there.

That sounds like a bit of excitement at your place!
