What kind of traps are you using? Mine all snap with no rat. One evening I set the trap right outside up against the chicken house at a known rat path. I caught one of the little birdies that ran around the yard with the chickens. Those little birdies are almost like my pets because they aren't scared of me. Near broke my heart.Did not rain here today but trapped 3 rats in traps, one still alive I shot that one .. Reset 5 traps in there today recovered all the food for the night.
Goodnight all
If We in the PNW waited for it to stop raining so we could get work done we would never get any work doneWe are supposed to get rain again tomorrow. Why can't it just rain at night so I can get some stuff done?
I'm laughing at that statement.. Had a nice shower this morning. Just enough to get everything wet, so now mowing for me today. By the time it all dries out it will be way to hot for me. Oh well, I didn't sleep well last night, so naps! YAYWe are supposed to get rain again tomorrow. Why can't it just rain at night so I can get some stuff done?
Today is our last cool day. We move up to 90F tomorrow and work towards five days of triple digits starting next Wednesday. Our heat should break this weekend. Then cooler, drier next week. Fan on at night to cool the house, that's what I like.
We still need more rain here though. It's been very hit-or-miss, and almost all of it has missed us.
I am sorry about your pet wild bird! What kind of traps are you using? Mine all snap with no rat. One evening I set the trap right outside up against the chicken house at a known rat path. Put a couple traps close together. If one doesn't get them, the others mightI am sorry about your pet wild bird!
Rats are very good at getting bait off of the trigger of a trap.
You would need to use something to stick the bait to the trap. Peanut butter first and then something like chicken feed pushed into it.
I use fresh bread squished into a ball and jammed down under the small hook part of the trap. Not too many escape.Put a couple traps close together. If one doesn't get them, the others might
