Smoke from the western fires (2 in AZ + CA's Dixie Fire) have created unhealthful air today. Awoke today and could not see the mountain! Plus sneezing aplenty. Not a day for yardwork, so will be content with an indoor day...and there's always stuff to attend to indoors.

The new dog has upped our game on housekeeping. He casually will grab towels, laundry, clothing items out of baskets and off counters as he walks by. He did grab the toilet paper roll and stand out of the half bath, and tried to abscond with a Costco pack of paper towels. Too funny!

What a fun guy. Shows how comfortable he is with you and his new home.

When we rescued our 5 cattle dogs they were complete heathens no social manners at all. They would run through the house and grab anything they saw along the way, shoes, magazines, books, cats....

Not only did they snatch and run, they chewed on and tried to destroy shoes, magazines, books......cats......

Hot and humid here today. Heat advisory tomorrow with temps in the low 90s. Can't complain. It is summer.

Persied meteor shower is going on now and due to peak on the 13th I think I read. So head outside where you have a clear view of the night sky, lay out a blanket and yourself on the blanket and enjoy mother nature putting on a sky show for you.

Air quality is better today. Hopefully the Dixie fire will be contained soon!

Sad as it may be Dixie is a tough fire to stop kudo's to the fearless firefighters trying every way they can to back it down.
