The Old Folks Home

I used to drive my grandfather nuts with the way I fished when I was a kid. I'd stay up real late the night before. Long before daybreak, off we'd go. He'd launch the boat, and we'd hit the favorite spot. He'd get set up in the back of the boat with several lines going in. By then, I'd start getting tired. I'd get my one line going, take one shoe off, lay across the front seat, and put the middle of the rod between my big toe, and the next, while holding onto the reel with my hands.

Sure enough, about the time I'd go to drift off to sleep, I'd have to land a pesky fish. I'd come home exhausted, with a bunch of fish.
