Our yard is the one with all the trees and bushes in our area so the birds tend to congregate there. They come close to me, do their dusting in the chickens dusting holes. Two days ago the chickens were in a circle around me eating grass when a flash of white passed real close and the chickens scrambled. I would say it was a hawk but it flashed to fast to tell. And the chickens scramble at any quick movement.

They are fast and silent! We went to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science a few weeks ago. One of the displays was a Harris Hawk. The lady giving us information about the different birds stayed in front of the audience. The other lady walked to the side of the audience and the bird flew from her to the front lady. Then the back lady moved toward the back and the bird flew back to her. They did this until the back lady made it to the other side of the audience. The hawk flew JUST above head height. When it passed between me and my sister from the back its wing brushed my hair. Never heard a thing.

I bet that was neat and interesting. (As much as I dislike and fear hawks because of the chickens, I still find hawks awesome)
 
Tried calling the IRS several times yesterday. Never got much past "1 for English" then it hung up. After a few of those all I got was busy signals.

Tried again today, got through, had to choose "talk to someone to set up a payment plan" since none of the other 7 options made sense. I don't remember this from Tuesday. Wait time 1 hour and NO option for a call back like Tuesday!!! WTF. Hopefully when I DO get through they can tell me why my new TurboTax number doesn't match what is in the letter because I'm not interested in a payment plan. I bet they tack interest on to that as well.
