The Old Folks Home

he's very scared of that so I'm trying to relay his fears to his Drs
You are his rock, hang in there. It isn't easy on you either.

I always thought I was claustrophobic in certain situations but luckily the MRI didn't bother me. Super considerate people had me wearing headphones and asked me what kind of music I like.
And luckily there wasn't a power failure during your MRI and you didn't end up with people singing their true thoughts that only you could hear, right?

Bonus points for the first one to recognize the reference ;)

older twin looks at the younger twin and smiles saying your just replacement parts for me:hugs

I always thought I was claustrophobic in certain situations but luckily the MRI didn't bother me. Super considerate people had me wearing headphones and asked me what kind of music I like. I told them Classic rock. They even let me pick the era so the hammering sound was dampened down a lot.

Maybe the music was also a distraction for me as well as a sound damper. He has been through so much. I don't blame him for being a bit shell shocked by the prospect of more surgery.
They didn't set up music for me when i was in the MRI machine. So i kept trying to relax , and ended up falling asleep multiple times. Then i would move , and they would start over. Quit being lazy and give me the music!

They did an MRI of my head when I had the stroke this year. I asked for classical music so I could fall asleep. Never happened though. I thought it took forever until the drumming noise stopped and they said 'All done'. They had already done a CAT scan that revealed an older stroke that I never knew I had. They also never asked if I had had a head injury either. I would have asked them 'which one?' When I went flying off the horse, or fell down the stairs or....... It's a wonder I've survived all these years. I've never been big on illnesses but bumps and bruises are my specialty.

I love Dan Fogelberg! Had all of his albums at one time. I thought it was such a shame when he passed at the age of 40 from Prostate cancer. Too young, much too young!
Dan was a native of Peoria IL. His father Larry Fogelberg had been the music director at Pekin Highschool where I graduated from for more years than I can even remember. Dan wrote 'Leader of the Band' in honor of his father, his love of music and his dedication to his career at PCHS.

Dan returned to Pekin once for a concert during the Pekin Marigold Festival. He has always been a favorite of mine and I was disappointed that I couldn't attend and hear him in person.

One of the songs on his last album was "River of Souls". He knew!
