The Old Folks Home

Never have named the chickens do not name what you may one day eat. I do name my roosters .. Sometimes I have changed roosters too
Mine all have names they can be proud of. Though most of them don't get named until I know for sure they are keepers. But I'm done hatching as my flock has expanded from the original 6 to... ummmmmmmmmmm A LOT!

these are the ones from RK I picked up today

Oh man o man, Silver, you have to realize that you have officially crossed into the Twilight zone and flunked Chicken math. Don't worry. We all have. It's incurable but none of us really give a you know what. It's FUN!

BTW the chicks are adorable. Once you see those little fluffy butts you just can't get enough of them can you.

Howdy Howdy everyone. Today was opening day of Deer Season. Temps didn't get out of the 30s till about sunset. DH and I set inside and admired the fire where it was nice and warm. Seriously we must be getting old...er. The prospect of sitting out in the woods, freezing our giblets off just while the deer are pointing their hoofs at us and laughing from their hiding places.

Same here always tell kids and DW that, don't name them for that reason.
I do usually name a favorite rooster also, though last favorite I just called rooster and current one I didn't name.
