The Old Folks Home

PI loaned my Yorkie ,Twinkle, to my Mom because she fell in love with the dog. Never had her own. Now that mom passed on, no one seems to know where my dog is. Apparently she hasn't been around for a month. So pissed off.
So sorry you lost your mom, Cap. :hugs This happened to me, about your dog. A friend of mine was battling leukemia. I loaned her one of my dogs as a companion. When she went to Seattle for her bone marrow transplant and I went with her, one of her friends took the dog, supposedly temporarily. When my friend died, this woman refused to return the dog to me. Broke my heart. I had intended to use her as a therapy dog, visiting hospitals and nursing homes. I hope you get your Yorkie back. I don't know how people can live with themselves sometimes.

That is beyond amazing! What right did she have to keep a dog she knew was yours?
She claimed it belonged to her friend, the gal who died. Although I had vet bills proving otherwise. She just refused to even see me to look at the paperwork. I was so exhausted from caring for T... I just let it go. I didn't have the energy to fight. These were her friends, people who were supposedly so grateful to me for taking weeks off from my job to go care for her. I was just heartsick. They all closed ranks against me. Such lovely people.
