The Old Folks Home

Good morning, OF.

What's a 'few' beers? I never could get that concept.
That's when you drink enough that you can't recall how many you drank, so you just say a few because it sounds better than a 24 pack!

Hey guys what's up, which, normal for our age would be our blood pressure, our cholesterol levels, our blood sugars......

It was 29 here until about noon, now it's up to 33. HEAT WAVE! It's unseasonably warm here though today non withstanding. I read where it's going to be in the 60s again next week and KC will see 70....in December? Unheard of. Makes me shudder to think what January and February are going to be like.

I was coming back from the mailbox this morning and there was a huge brown shouldered hawk flying lazy circles over the coop and run. Nobody was brave enough to be out in the cold and luckily nobody was going by to see me yelling 'HEY YOU FLYING OVER MY COOP! LEAVE! NOW!' Geesh and the eagles haven't even arrived yet.

I felt that way when dad passed too. It's amazing, no matter what age you are, you feel like an orphan when both parents are gone. :hugs
My father's death made me feel this way - like a lost child. My mother died at 97 - I was more ready, and the loss was not as acute.
