Pretty sure the Donner party ate their boots and any other leather goods they had. Could you imagine today trying to survive on the clothes you wear? Don't think there is much nutrition in rubber/plastic.

Thanks Clue. We need to walk the property this morning and do a final check. Our 2 meter radio antenna which is mounted on a 48 foot mast didn't survive. We have no idea where part of it is so we have to look for that. The mast is fine but the poor antenna is no more. We also want to see what potential firewood Ma Nature gifted us in the form of downed trees.

Morning all. Still windy here but a lot colder. Only a high in the low 40s today. It was still 72 here at 9 pm last night. Just plain weird weather.
