Oh, that makes me think of poor @Shadrach and all the fireworks the locals blow off days and weeks after a holiday! I hope (but don't have much hope) they don't do it again for New Years.

I've been trying to avoid this thread since I started posting on BYC. I'm just not ready to be wheeled off to The Old Folks Home!
Look, I've brought a few grapes for those who can't remember where they left their dentures and I'm quite happy to wheel a few of you out into the grounds to soak up a few rays. But, I won't be moving in while I have the strength to stand.

There were fireworks last night, lots and loud. It lasted ten minutes or so and it only took a couple of hours for Spoko (Husky) to stop dribbling and come out of his upstairs safe spot.

Crazy chickens! Can't read the calendar, It's January! And they are running around in the rain pulling worms out of the ground! On New years day?? They will be doing it all year long.
Hoping to get some real liquids/food into DH today or tomorrow. So far it's been all intravenous feeding. Can't get him out of the hospital unless he can eat. He finally got his own room last evening. The hospital is so full, he was in a room with six others. It's a little more quiet so maybe he can sleep now
