The Old Folks Home

The speakers are up. It took a good bit of doing, but it's done. The system sounds wonderful. When I first heard it, it almost brought tears to my eyes, with memories. My dad was a huge audiophile. He loved almost all kinds of music, and the best equipment to listen to it with. The Kenwood 6 way speakers had not been out 3 months, before there was a set of them delivered to our home. The beautiful wood cabinetry, and the rich, warm, sounds they produced was awesome. Nothing tinny about any of the sounds. The bass was not just thumping, but clear deep tones. When dad was home, the music was on.

The way speakers are made today, I thought I would never again hear the rich "warmth" that those beautiful cabinet speakers produced. Today's speakers seem to have a tinny sound, with little to no warmth. When I fired up these speakers, that wonderful, warm, sound filled the room. Those memories flooded over me. Like I said, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Yes, they sound THAT good.
