Friend in IL sent me this link today. As flock owners I think we can all relate.

I've heard 'Don't pee into the wind', but apparently 'Don't poop into the wind' should be another saying.

Gosh Darnit. Open the door to the turn out pen and a snake fell right at my feet! Bout made a mess of myself, I did... Young rat snake has been relocated.... to heaven.

I don't mind snakes, except when they appear suddenly or eat eggs/ kill chickens. Then they gotta go. New batch of baby copperheads around, hubby keeps finding them when he walks the dogs.

Yup, bout that time of the year they start showing up.. Alabama Dept of Wildlife sends out a notice yearly when they begin to appear..
