Waiting for the insurance assessor to check, and approve the repairs for my truck, from the hail damage. 52 hail pock marks. They were weighing options, and costs of repair vs replace on the roof, hood, and one side.

Funny, sometimes my truck sits here for a day or two, without me going anywhere. Now that it's in the shop, I need it for quite a few things.

Good luck with your vehicle repair. My car got beat up a couple of weeks ago from hail, thankfully no glass was broken, but I'm just gonna wait until hail season is over to get it repaired. Roof on house got beat up also.

Yeah, car repair place has my truck to replace the cable for opening the driver door from inside. They got it Monday!

I just got my truck back. They'll begin June 5, and it shouldn't take longer than 3 days for them to do everything (hopefully) (fingers crossed) (not holding my breath).

Made a banana bread from a recipe that was printed in 61.
Interesting it had me add vegetable oil, egg yolks and sugar, sour milk.
baking powder with salt.. Then beat the eggs whites in
add them then 2 cups flour. Mix not over mixing.
Bake 60 minutes 350 oven,

It's drizzling out, and since there's no lightning, I suggested the kids go swim. It seems the rain is adding a whole new dimension to swimming. They're all having a ball.

Good Afternoon Old Folks. It's a sunny 81° here this afternoon. My nap is over for now. I need to make my evening rounds putting out feed and water where needed and gather the eggs. I've got a broody hen on way to many eggs but not going to disturbed her taking some away that I have no place to go with. I watched her get back on her eggs last night. She did a good job of spreading out on top to them. She had one sticking out and she rolled in in on top of the other eggs. I know some incubators allow for double layers but a hen on double layers? She must know what she's doing.
