Today was suppose to be the hottest day of the year. I believe it.

Yesterday was hotter here, but 84° and 54% humidity isn't going to raise many eyebrows.

I got one in 2020, but when I researched what the Ptap was, I found a site that said that if you got your three tetanus boosters as a child, you were covered.

Have you ever seen an animal with Tetanus? It's horribly painful. Muscles all knot up, cramping . I would rather get a booster every 10 years. Just in case. No known cure that i know of. For people or animals.

I was walking past them and couldn't get further away. She seemed to have no idea how to use a leash. Dog lunged and jumped at my leg, and bit through my jean shorts. It's a mix. Typical dog shelter looking thing. I don't like it, and it hates me. They were both quite apologetic.

I aways thought that the main fear with animals bites was rabies.

Cap, here if you get bitten by an animal, including dogs, Animal Control has to be notified. Animal Control then checks their records to see if the dog is current on it's Rabies shot. They then go to the owner, and verify the Rabies status, and have the owner quarantine the dog for 10 days, to ensure it's not rabid. In addition, under the circumstances, they can fine the owner for failing to keep their dog under control.

In this instance, they would probably want to see the dog, and make sure it's not prone to aggression. If it is overly nervous around other people, OR if it shows some aggression, they will advise the owner to walk it with a red leash, and collar, OR they may suggest the owner refrain from walking the dog, until it's been trained to socialize better.

Took the dog out this morning and the hummingbirds were visiting the hosta flowers. Love hearing their hum!

It's 90° and feels like 114° already with 2 coops to go. They were serviced last night after dark so I know I've got time to cool off and put on fresh dry clothes. This time of year we as OP's need to pay attention to this heat and be careful.
