From about November to March, Michigan can be dreary for long stretches. It wears on me.

That and lake effect snow sure wore us down. Both of our sons were born in MI. Still have relatives in MI that we see at major family events such as funerals sad to day.

We are far enough inland that we -- sometimes -- don't get hammered with lake effect as much as the county to the west of us.

My former dog trainer posted something about this the other day from AKC or somewhere but supposedly if you take a dogs poop and bury it in the hole they are digging then cover it up with just an inch or two of dirt, they won't dig there.

We're next door in Wisconsin and have much of the same here too. At least there are no flies or mosquitoes though!
