Ooooooo Chipper. I would love to have a chipper. We bought our splitter about 10 years ago. With the amount of splitting that we have to do it was the only logical solution. Hand splitting 15 cords of firewood would pretty much bring an end to our shoulders and neck. My cervical spine is turning on me now and I had my first shoulder injection this spring.Mine got his wood splitter this summer, celebrating his 65th birthday! Between that and the chipper, we're good to go! Firewood, mulch, got it covered. He calls these kinds of things his"toys".![]()
Needless to say we LOVE our splitter. and so far it has handled rounds that are two foot diameters without stopping. Every year when we finish the harvest I'll give it a pat like it was a horse and say 'good job!'. If I could give it an apple or carrot, I would.
First of December everyone. Scary huh? Making chocolate crinkle cookies today. Everyone have a GREAT Friday.

I turned 70 this past July and it didn't bother me until my SIL sent me a really depressing birthday card that was like one you would send to an old lady in a nursing home about looking back on your life now that you are 70 on all the joy and blah blah blah like nothing good happens after you are 70.
My life really didn't begin until I met my husband. I was in my early 50s so my life being over? Bull you know what. I've just got started, stand back world!
DH asked me what kind of card I was going to send her when she turns 70 this next year and I said, 'one that is worse than the one she sent me.'
So I hope you are like me and looking ahead at all the fun, adventure and excitement that life still has in store for you and not the past. Happy belated Birthday.
