Friday night, my ear was a bit sore, like swimmers ear. I put some alcohol in it, and we went out. Saturday, it still hurt, so I followed up with alcohol. Around 2:30 am, it was throbbing bad. Obviously the alcohol wasn't going to work. I had 2 antibiotic capsules, that had to get me through until this morning. They did pretty good. The pain subsided, until this morning. I went to the doctor, and he confirmed the ear infection, and put me on oral antibiotics, and some drops. I know they will kick in, but my ear is still throbbing pretty bad. I have NO idea how I got an ear infection.

I hope the ear is better now!

Afternoon old folks Saw this shirt on Twitter/X. How many people over the age of 55 can relate? One day I was wondering why an afternoon nap was becoming more and more appealing and then I thought, Heck, I'm 70! At the same instant I remember thinking. When did I get old?

Finally seeing temps above freezing. Never though I would think of 35 as being warm but after -17 and -18 it is. Birds haven't been out for 2 weeks now. They're troopers though and doing well. I'm hoping we are through the worst of our winter.

I actually saw temps in the 50s in the extended forecast by the first of Feb.

So how is everyone doing?
