The Old Folks Home

It's still raining here. It's not pouring, just regular rain off, and on again. Dd #1 was sent home from work, sick. I'm glad they sent her home. She was up all night, congested, coughing, and spitting up a lot of mucus.

I've been a bit concerned about Dh, since he took the diet shot. His eating is almost nonexistent, stomach pain if he eats, and his sleeping has been very erratic since starting the diet shots. He can't sleep longer than 2 hours at a time. I had suggested that he needed a lower dosage. He was talking to one of the neighbor men, and they used the same stuff to lose weight (38 lbs). The neighbor mentioned he was reacting the same way, until the doctor reduced the dosage. Once they got the dosage down, he did fine with it. Dh will be mentioning it to his doctor.

All my faves for lunch this week so far. :lau :love

Today is ravioli with side salad and garlic bread, tomorrow is tuna melt sandwiches with choice of soup (tomato or chicken noodle), and then Wednesday is turkey chili with cornbread and he makes AMAZING turkey chili lol and idk what’s for lunch the other two days but I’m super excited lol

The mail is in. Got a recall notice from Ford. Of course my truck is included in the latest recall. On F-150s equipped with the Trailer Tow Max Duty package. The wheel end hub bolt in the rear axle may become loose, or break. Continued driving with a broken bolt may lead to wear within the axle and damage the axle hub splines. This may initially result in a clicking noise. Vehicles with damaged axle hub splines, may roll in park without the parking brake being applied, or alternatively lose drive power.

Oh joy.

Ford Motor Company is working to develop the service remedy for this repair, and they will contact me when the final service repair, and parts are available. I am then to schedule a service appointment with my dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge. The final repair, and parts are anticipated to be available the 2nd quarter of 2024.

Our water man FINALLY got our iron filter up, and running. It was a 45 minute job that he made span almost 2 weeks. We won't be using him again. He does good work, and he is not overpriced. The problem is, getting him to show up, and whether he'll get the job done quickly, or not.

I'm down another clothes size. So far, I've gone from a size 14, down to size 8. I did it right, so my skin had a chance to tighten up pretty good.

Amazing! Congrats!

We had a lot of rain and wind gusts up to 60mph!

We did on have any damage here but it was very bad in Southern CA.
It's been wild up here on the north coast, too, days of heavy rain and wind way beyond the predictions. We're amazed we haven't lost power this time; we've had the generator ready in anticipation. Trees so far remain vertical...🤞

Apparently the latest pineapple express left part of itself sitting on us while the rest went south to wreak havoc on central & southern California. My friends & family down there report multiple debris flows, flooded streets, falling trees, boulders getting washed into roadways, swift-water rescues, etc. etc. None of them directly affected, thank heavens. Wow, am I glad I'm not still commuting to work in downtown LA any more, with all the freeway ramp closures and submerged roads...retirement ROCKS!💕
