We are also experiencing “higher than average” temps today. Indoor chores in the air conditioning are on the docket!

Lately we too have been experiencing higher than normal temps. When it hits the high 90's, you can feel the heat draining your energy, and it has nothing to do with age. Young people have trouble with their energy levels when temps are that high too, so it's not just an old age thing.

FL heat and humidity was hard on me an my fellow marching band members in the early '60s. We had heavy wool band uniforms. Black pants and dark gold colored coats. We had some parades to do in the summer when school was out. How we found breath to play our instruments I'll never know. I do know I couldn't do it now. I know for a fact I would hold up marching several miles and playing a coronet.

It has just hit 100° for us on our front porch in the shade. I'm taking a nap until it gets down to 95°

Darn Old Folks at least we can still function.
That is why we stay out here.
We may see 82 no humidity!
I know why my Dad loved it here and it is why we moved into the southern end of the state.
