104 today and 106 tomorrow. Friday is the last day over 100 for a while.

I think the atmosphere is just right for an afternoon nap. I'm anxious for the rains to return with some thunder and lightning to aid in sleep.

It's been raining here practically constant for three or four days. Finally about done with I think. They're saying average rainfall for the county was 3.5 to 10 inches, depending where you were. 70 degrees right now and 92% humidity, so word of the day, clammy.

Morning, OF. This might be the last day it hits 80 here. Or gets close. I told hubby that we will probably have a fire in the woodstove this weekend. Fortunately, the house warms up quickly when the outdoor temp is in the 50s/60s.

And at that temp, it's time to bake something again.

It's only 83° with a cloud cover so I'm going out and do some weed trimming around the coops. My legs can use the exercise.

Ma has been making Muscadine jelly.
