The Old Folks Home

I was searching for a thread that I could relate to. I noticed that the really active threads were the kids' threads. That's fine, but I really enjoy chatting with people my age (old.) Then I noticed the active state threads, but MY state's thread is hit or miss. I love the hatch-alongs and the swaps but those can be sporadic.

I really wanted to find a thread where anything and everything (within BYC rules) can be thrown out and other middle aged folks could relax and enjoy each others company. I want to have a thread where we can keep up with old BYC friends, and make new ones.

If that appeals to you, regardless of your age, please subscribe!
I have been on in 5yrs. I wonder if those i spoke with are still here. I'm having trouble navigating the site.

You and @sourland are the same BYC age.

I am older. :lau

How have you been, and who are you missing?

No. Only going to expose them to the outside chill anyway. Right now they are not too bad.
Have you eaten any tomatoes lately? Mine get sore if I eat too many so at most I'd have one slice. Makes BLTs a little boring.

Of all the things that can ache with the changing of the season, it's my right ear!:idunno Cold, or wind, and it starts to complain. I forget about it each summer, and then October comes around and reminds me.
Get you some old fashioned earmuffs, if they still make them.

I grew up with earaches and, as an adult, had an eardrum rupture, which isn't as bad as it sounds. This led me to purchase several scarves. Any time it's windy, if I don't have a hooded jacket on, I grab a scarf. In the winter, no matter how bad they make my hair look, and it's bad, I wear a beanie cap, made by my dad. I have several of those.

40 years later, I'm still wearing scarves or beanie caps. I never want to go through that again!
