The Old Folks Home

@Alaskan snowmen, reindeer, a bear, a sled, Christmas tree, pile of presents, penguin, train, candy canes, NOEL sign, Christmas gnome - porch lights and lighted hanging baskets. It's a veritable Christmas wonder land. No flamingos with or without knitted hats and scarves. Know where I can get some?

DH just took the garbage out. Surprise! He said it's snowing. How is it the weather guessers can get paid big money to get the forecast wrong? They were calling for light freezing rain and drizzle tonight turning to rain. So I froze my tuchus off today taking down my nets over the run.

So it's like, if the temp is under 32 it isn't going to rain unless it's freezing rain....or snow, but not rain, right? So why did they say rain tonight? Maybe they think we aren't paying attention or we are lacking brain cells or something. Sense my frustration? LOL

BTW, I think Pink Flamingos with little knit scarves and hats would be VERY cool. Bet you could find the flamingos on Amazon.....if you were so inclined that is. ;)

@sourland get the standard pink flamingos, and then ask Princess (or one of her friends) to knit little hats and scarves.

Up here all the old ladies do some kind of craft something.

Track down the knitting/crochet group.

If princess doesn't know, ask at your local library. Many of the craft people in town meet at the library. :celebrate:ya

Good morning, OF. I plan on taking it easy today.
Do you ever set it up...

So the bear is eating the penguin?

Or the Reindeer are trampling a snowman?

Or... some other shenanigans?

I am not beyond such doings, but there are little kids in the neighborhood. They have even come to the door and thanked us for decorating. One year I told the Princess, "I am not doing this next year." That night a little girl rang the door and said, "I look forward to this every year. Thank you so much." The Princess, with a big smile, heard - I mentally said 'screwed'.
