Glad to hear that Ron. People outside the midwest always say that they wouldn't live here because of the threat of tornadoes and blizzards but frankly, couldn't get me anywhere where wildfires were a regular threat.

DH inherited property down in central Florida that we wound up selling. Every winter when the wind chill is -20 I say....we sold the property in Florida. He always responds with one word....Hurricanes. Ummm yeah, I'd rather risk tornadoes and blizzards thank you.

Hurricanes are scary!

We are far enough from forests that fires are not much of an issue. The smoke from the fires can be very bad for us though.

Today we made: Grandma Wallace's lemon/raisin cookies, ricotta cookies and pecan/carmel thumbprints - 13.5 dozen so far. Tomorrow the Princess has a hair appointment so I get the day off.
