The Old Folks Home

That is good news on the recovery!
Thanks, Ron, yeah, it's one of those God grant me patience and I want it now sort of things. I have to keep reminding myself that healing time is 6 months and return to full use status is one year. All things considered they tell me I am ahead of the curve.

It is good to be recovering ahead of schedule!

I have been keeping up with steps and have made it a couple of times a week on the exercise cycle. I am working to keep the muscles around the knee in good shape. Hopefully that will help with recovery when I get knee replacement.

Keep us up to date on the knee.

I keep thinking "hum.... at some point I am going to want a doc to cut up my knee" maybe both.. I really did a number on my knees in my youth, and as I age they start "talking" to me more and more.

And I know our bodies recover the younger we are..... Anyway...

I know one person who loves her new knees, and another that likes them, but can no longer kneel.

Anyway... I would love to know your thoughts and experiences.

My therapist told me one day that keen replacements aren't nearly as bad as they used to be and he'd rather do 2 knee replacements than 1 rotator cuff repair. The state of the art is just zooming ahead at warp speed.

DH and I got step counters. Yesterday something like just under 8,000 steps. A slow day. I've done 11,000 on a busy day.

We are having a one day cooldown! High is suppose to be mid-70s!! Still humid but tonight the low is forecast to be 58F!
Have a great day, OFs!

…and for a smile…pup enjoying the cleaned out fire ring this morning:

The left knee has bone on bone arthritis. It goes through cycles of pain and dysfunction. Currently it is making me walk out of line which hurts my left knee.

The right knee is doing much better. I still have some foot drop in my right ankle so that also throws of my gait.
