The Old Folks Home

Well it is, I've just never been one to subscribe to regular exercise. When I was in my late teens and through my 20s, I had horses which means I spent time unloading feed bags and stacking bales of hay and straw, into my older adult years, I enjoyed and still do enjoy target shooting and hunting. The past 20 years I've helped harvest firewood along with splitting and either stacking or tossing into a big pile along with dirt bike riding and the surgeon told me I would be surprised to know the amount of damage being a nurse would do to my joints, especially my shoulder joints. Plus being a woman, our tendons naturally thin out after menopause so it doesn't take much wear to make them tear. No pun intended.
Yep... I was told all the heavy lifting I have done over my life did some damage.

Good morning Old Folks. Humid and foggy 66° this morning. My heavy lifting days are gone. I do quite well to slide 50lb bags of feed out of the van onto the hood of the garden tractor to take to the coops which is what I have to do once it dries off. A little rain last night.
