The Old Folks Home

@Alaskan Love your geese. We haven't seen any snow yet...thank God, I'm not ready for it this year. Still have a lot of stocking up to do. Have been thinking about y'all though and wondering how the family is doing. Hope all are well.
We are good... we are finally a bit less panicked, since last weekend the boys got all the sheeting up on the roof! (Boy 3 bought land and is building a house on it)

This weekend they have to finish that up, and get the metal on. We shall see how far they get.

Did I tell you we got our latest offer on a house accepted? We are moving to town to decrease the amount of driving we need to do. Plus, with less than an acre, we will have less labor to do outside. When you're pushing 70, you want less chores!
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. There's double carport attached to the brick house. A small shed in the back yard for tools. Also, a screened porch, which the cat may learn to enjoy. He has always been an indoor cat. The best features in my opinion are the multiple closets, fireplace, sewing room, and a full sized basement that is unfinished! So a studio inside the house again. 🙂

I am sure you will love it!

Do you already have your current house sold? And I can't remember, are you now at zero animals? Or did you keep a few chickens?

We have 2 dogs and a cat. Zero livestock. No, we have not put our house on the market.

Good luck with the move. I am sure you will love being in a brick house, so much less to maintain than with wood!

You are moving into what I just moved from. Only our basement was fully finished. So 5 bedrooms. A family room. There was a small kitchen area in that home in the basement. Washing machine area in there. Another bathroom down there. We moved into a bigger home. Opposite of where the bedrooms were in the other. Three up and two down. Here it's two up and three down. Huge bedrooms! Huge family area upstairs and down. 3 bathrooms. The kids aren't packed like sardines downstairs now. So thankful they live here. I wouldn't do well alone. They help me so much. I help them in different ways too.
Anyway, bigger home, still no house payment for me. Kids are making a small monthly payment because selling our home helped of course.
Enjoy your new adventure. I think you'll like it. I'm also thankful for less yard to care for. A lot smaller than what we had. I can have a flower bed and the kids and grandkids dug up a small area for a little veggie garden. :)
