The Old Folks Home

We are still packing. Taking possession of the house on Dec. 12th. I hope to finish packing by the end of the month, but idk. Stuff in the barn, the garden shed, the garage, the workshop, the yard, and my studio. So far I have been working on all the sewing stuff, etc. in the loft. Did manage to find the foot pedal for Mom's bernina, and the power cord. Had not found them since we moved here. Maybe 10 years? Lol.

The house we are buying. Has tons of cabinets and a big basement.
How lovely! I think brick homes with shutters like that are so pretty. We can't have them in California (brick anything falls apart in earthquakes). Your kitchen looks great, too!

Thanks Penny, good to be here. Having cataract surgery Wednesday!
I am thrilled with my cataract surgery. True, you can no longer adjust your focal length, so you will need readers... but I "upgraded" to lenses that corrected my horrible vision, so the trade off is well worth it!

I can now SEE at night! Truly great stuff!

So all found that Snow I thought she died nope she has puppies.
Had them under my old Shasta trailer she dug a big hole settled down had them will jack the rear end in the daylight she is she will take them in her room.
Congratulations on the puppies!

@CapricornFarm, the new house is beautiful and the kitchen amazingly roomy! Love all the cabinets. Our home back in IL was a ranch. Told DH recently that I wish we had the house here as it was much roomier. Big kitchen, walk in closets. Amish built homes do not have walk in closets....they barely have closets at all, lol. So far we've built two. Need more.

@pennyJo1960, congratulations on Snow's new pups. Take it mother and babies are doing fine.

The snow we had is melting. The road is still an ice skating rink so we are home till the spring thaw. Supposed to take Spot to the Vet on Friday for shots. May have to be delayed. Ahhhh winter in Missouri. Nothing like it.

As for cataract surgery. Every person I talked to in DH's practice went in apprehensive and afterwards told me they were sorry they put it off. It's amazing the progress in the state of the art.
