The Old Folks Home

Thanks, I am really wanting to get back in the studio! This house and the other one will be keeping me busy.
I hope that stuff is finished soon!

We have to go up to Redding, ca to clean out the garage at my Mom's house. We will be selling it so that we can clear probate.

That is always a daunting task. Physically and emotionally draining.

And stuff like that usually takes twice as long as you think it will.

:hugs

My Sister lives in the house and finds the task of cleaning the garage daunting so she has called in the DW and I along with my youngest brother.

I talked to her about getting a big dumpster from the local landfill. Hopefully that will happen.

Me too, but there is so much stuff, it's likely to take quite a while.
The basement needs flooring in it, and I want to put a ceiling in too. It's cold down there right now, 45°. Anyway, I need to get the stuff in the house put away first. However, Tuesday I plan to go to the studio downtown regardless.

Good afternoon all. Hope all is well. I'm personally having a hard time wrapping my head around what has been going on here at home. I'm going yo write it here and copy for my other threads.
Some of you know that my son and wife..and two children live with me. They are a huge help to me.
My son was just diagnosed with a rare blood cancer. Caught early thank the Lord! It could very easily turn to Leukemia if not taken care of right. In fact, the Dr thought it was Leukemia at first because of what he saw on the MRI. It's Polycythemia Vera cancer. Manageable, not curable. My son knows his lifestyle is going to change. He does have a great attitude of gratitude that it was caught early. A pesty bulging disc had him get a MRI. Showed the disc. Did some therapy. Kept hurting. Went to this dr. that says, I want another MRI with contrast. He hadn't ordered the first one. Glad he did. He saw what he saw, too many red blood cells around the spine. Did blood work. So, Austin and his wife will go on Monday to see what the plan is for now. Medication for sure to reduce the red blood cells. He'll be going through a lot of Phlebotomy..blood withdrawals from now on to help them keep the red blood cells under control so they dont throw clots..to the heart or brain.
If you pray, we'll take them. Your thoughts are also very much appreciated.
And that pesty bulging disc? Dr says, i don't know what you did, but the bulging disc is gone.
