The Olive-Egger thread!

Thanks for your response! Well... Now that I'm thinking so hard about it, the hen that lay the olive eggs inthe pic has a rosecomb...like theEE (who, yes, has blue under feathering). When you say your marans over CCL chicks all hatched black with gold, how is that auto sexing? It's exactly what happened here, so I'm just curious- I figured all CCL off spring would come out striped somehow- instead, the grandchild did

Here is a picture of the new chick- "she" is the darker striped one, next to a CCL chick. As far as apossible blue marans, no...not unless Greenfire Farms totally screwed up

Then there is this little possible splash, or possible lavender(???), from the parents pictured above...?

Sorry, I missed this before. Having had a lavender am chick and a splash marans chick at the same time, I also would think this would be splash.

Have 8 EE's growing now not sure if any are going to lay Green eggs. Advertised as Americana's by Tractor Supply. Said they would be blue so I'll see. Also have 6 younger Australorps I'll cross with the EE's Does anyone have experience breeding this particular mix?

Can someone help me? I got 1 Black Copper Maran and 1 Olive Egger, they look exactly alike except one has a black comb and the other has a tan comb. Both have feathered legs. Can someone give me some insight on how to tell them apart?
