The Olive-Egger thread!

How old are yours? Did you get them from Juststruttin? I am still waiting on eggs from mine....And I hatched 7 pullets and no cockerels.:D

Juststruttin by way of phage in San Diego...so you're saying you're ready for me to bring you an OE cockerel, next week works for me ! My batch of 6 came complete with 4 cockerels.

Crele penedesenca have big combs as well. We get pretty cold here and my crele have not had any issues at all. Bright red combs even with snow and occasional nights in the teens. You may want to ventilate the coop real good.
The alertness your hens have is from the penedesenca

Thanks for the thought, the ventilation is pretty free flowing (too much so?) and they occupy the same space, just a quirk?
It seems like the Crele Penedesenca hens must be nice to have around.

I'm looking for Olive Egger chicks to purchase.  I'd love someone local that I could drive over and pick up chicks (I'm in San Antonio TX and willing to drive up to 5 hours in any direction) but shipping is also fantastic.  Any breeders on here please PM me.

You might check with GaryDean26, easy to find him in the crested cream leg bar thread. He's in Texas, might have maransxCCL olive eggers.

Hi! I'm interested in getting an Olive Egger. Do you have any chicks now? I live in Arlington and could meet you part way or drive over.

Let me know!

:)

I live too far away, but I have three Cream Legbar X Crele Penedesenca pullets to rehome that will probably lay their first egg soon.

I live in Woodland California.

Wish our state wasn't so big, I'd take them!

I sent two of the to Sanoma California a couple of weeks ago and one of them laid an egg:

It looks very nice next to the Cream Legbar egg!
