I don't know if I have showed this hen on this thread before, but this girl started laying, and she lays olive eggs!!!!!! But I was wondering if anybody could help me find what breeds she is made of, I know nothing about her parents.

she is beautiful and lays nice eggs.

I am not an expert, but she might be a welsummer mix (looks a bit like welsummer). as the eggs are not too dark, not likely a marans mix. the blue/green egg part could be anything, but probably EE.

Got my first egg out of this pretty girl today! Was told when we bought her she was an Olive egger. I'm pretty sure now that she indeed is. Her egg is the one farthest left. The other three brown eggs are from a different hen. It's neat that even though the three are from the same hen they vary in different shades of brown.

Curious....have you checked the base shell color?
When you break the egg to eat, peel the white inner membrane off right away(it's easier before it dries)to see the base shell color.

I ask because I have an egg that color, but the shell base is white....it's got me scratching my head.

It is interesting that your base shell color is white. Both of my OE hen's eggs have blue interiors. (See my avatar picture.) After I remove the membrane - which is quite thick, almost papery and does peel off easier when fresh - I gently rub the inner shell under the running faucet and a thinner membrane peels off - not so easily. You may be pleasantly surprised if you try it.
