Just getting started with the Isbars, they are about half grown. I got some Rhodebar eggs shipped and they threw in a CCL, so if it's a pullet I'll let you know how that works out...in about a year!It has happened accidentally when people have had their Cream Legbar get in with their Rhoderbars on the sly.
Ihliani I notice that you have Isbars. Have you ever crossed one of them with a dark egg breed or with a blue to see how it affected the shade of green they have?
NICEbar! I have a couple splashes too.
Thanks. I love splash patterns and would love to have more hens like her. It is really difficult to capture colors accurately (especially just using this IPad). The egg is not quite as it appears in the photo. I'm trying again with natural light. Maybe her egg would still be considered olive, but it is not a dark olive. Her egg is the one directly opposite the only Ameraucana egg in the carton. If she is fertile (there are way too many hens in there), I would like to cross her with my OE rooster this spring.she is so pretty! I love her face!
Yes, I noticed that they don't have a picture of their mature OEs...pretty expensive.
Can you post pics of your black tail buff Marans?![]()
My first olive eggers I have hatched. Crossed them with a blue/wheaten ameracauna with one of either my blue, black or black tailed buff marans boys. Can't wait for them to grow out. Crossing my fingers for at least one pullet
