its not going to be an Olive Egger IF the sire is The legbar...I'm thrilled to have my first Olive Egger in my Bator! I'm excited to see what it
will lay (hoping it's a girl!) Roo is either a Marans, Cream Legbar or Welsummer.

I don't know. The first cross would be fine but when you breed the offspring back to a Brown layer you don't know what you have till they lay. That makes sense. Meyer is using Legbars and Ameraucana crossed with Marans in their breeding program.

That is a big comb. I will probably order a couple more to breed. I wish I could choose Legbar cross though... I have Houdans and Salmon Faverolles too! I love them. They are so pretty. Is that a cream legbar in the back?

A week ago I picked up an Olive Egger chick from Meyer Hatchery, along with a Black French Copper Marans and a Dominique. The OE is totally mellow, and much bigger than the other two. She is solid gray, with some feathers starting to come in on her legs. I can't wait to see what she'll look like once she fully matures!
Here's a picture of her from today:

I have two week old olive egger from meyer, one that looks like yours, but without feathered legs, and one is darker, almost a charcoal color. I believe they are legbar crosses since they both have single combs. I would have loved ameraucana crosses since I love their fluffy faces, but maybe I will get one with a crest.
